Pigeon Lake - Brad's Place
Harold's Report:
It was a strange day at Pigeon.

Things started at about 12:30PM. Blaine and Brad headed out on their foils and 5.2 sails and after a while switched to their 7.0s. They blasted for quite a while.
Vadim, Allan, and I rigged a variety of bigger sails and nibbled a bit at the wind, but there was some walking involved.

Finally, I blew up my wind wing and played around for an hour or two (hard to keep track of time when you’re floundering and flopping). After a while, I realized that I had board lash wrapped around the fin, which made it difficult to control the direction of the board, among other things. I also figured out that tracking along the shore is not a victory when the shore bends and you realize you have been bearing downwind – makes for a long walk back. How come it looks so easy in the videos?!!!
Around 4PM the wind really clocked in. We could tell because the foilers were flattened. Karma!
Vadim, Allan, and I went out again and sailed until about 6PM, when the wind backed off. The hot tub seemed like the thing to do, so we did.

Brad and Blaine were going out again on their 5.2s at about 7PM when we left. It was iffy, so they were going to let the wind decide. I hope they had a great evening.
(Ted heard later that they had a couple of reaches and then the wind died again - oh well, still a great day!)
Thanks to Vadim for the photos...
Lac Ste. Anne - Alberta Beach
Ross's Kiter Report:
Mike, Ross, and Tim went to Alberta Beach. We arrived at 1130 hrs, too windy, but quite west wind with a mix of sun and cloud. The conditions throughout the day were a bit shifty and gusty with significant 5m (60k+) wind and waves followed by 7m (40k) lulls. It was a bit challenging especially given the wind and swell angles were more like side shore ocean with wind at 90 to the waves. Still, it was lots of fun.
The wind cleaned up about 1630ish and started to 'back off" about 1800 to a steady 7m and held into the night at 9m range. Matt showed up after work for a 7m fin session and then 7m foil. Mike and I wrapped up at 1800. Tim had an earlier departure at 1600 for a meeting.
Departure was at 1900 for Mike and Ross, leaving Matt foiling away to his heart's content. Since he texted this AM that he is very tired, seems like he got the very rare and elusive "evening session".
